EDDIE STACEY

Eddie was raised by the Joshua Tree national monument in 29 Palms California in the 70s and 80s. After graduation Eddie tried to make college baseball work until the realization that for a ball player he was a decent artist. He was published as a cartoonist at 17 but it as the skate industry that pulled him from the college path being the artist for Osiris shoes and Arcade skateboards. Eventually the corporate art world was a bit soul less and bland. He found tattooing in 1999, designing and selling his own tattoo flash on the west coast only to break into the tattoo world due to some extreme circumstances and learn to tattoo 'trial by fire" style. In 2013 he moved his family to Atlanta and ultimately his experiences lead mim to open "the blackmarker" in North Georgias serenes blue ridge area at the base of the Appalachian trail. He touts it as one of his best decisions in tattooing.

Not a big fan of Bios but I definitely understand the need for my clients to understand what goes into their project. I'm self-taught and after 24 years of tattooing I've developed my own personal style that can fall under the umbrella of "chaotic Blackwork". A handful of artists in the world of tattooing specialize or even attempt the sketch style. Its difficulty is derived from the need for the artist to be adept at life drawing and pen and ink knowledge. Ive been tattooing in this style since April 23, 2017 and although I still enjoy tattooing different styles, Chaotic Blackwork is where my style is best represented. I tattoo extremely fast and can finish half sleeves in 4-5 hours, hence the defined costs for specific areas and my day rate. I have extensively researched many mythos but my focus is the Norse pantheon which fits perfectly with Chaotic Blackwork .

QUESTIONS?

ALL QUESTIONS CAN BE HANDLED THOUGH BOOKING REQUESTS BUT HERES SOME THAT ARE FREQUENTLY ASKED
* A booking Request doesn't require a payment, you are only charged for a deposit once approved by the artist, you then put down the deposit and chose your appointment date.
*Each artist will communicate their own preferences on how the project will be discussed as you move forward. Some artists prefer in shop consults while others prefer to handle the
specifics of the project via phone or text.
*We recommend a few things that will help your appointment have its most successful outcome. For starters we ask you to hydrate before your appointment and most importantly, having a large meal before your appointment. Blood sugar is key ton your comfort and sugary snacks are always welcomed as well as provided to you by the blackmarket. Secondly, Some artists are less talkative during their work so bringing head phones or a book may go a long way with getting you through certain less enjoyable times in the tattoo process. Thirdly, if you are able to help with preparation for the tattoo, then shaving the area of the proposed tattoo is recommended, the longer between the shaving and the alcohol application before the stencil application, the better. Unnecessary pain is just that, unnecessary.
